Graduated with honors in Dentistry from the University of Modena, he is a gIDE Faculty Member, EAED Active Member, Harvard-trained in AI in Healthcare, with a private practice in Modena.

He began his career as a dental technician, later specializing as a ceramist in fixed prosthodontics. After graduating with honors in Dentistry from the University of Modena, Italy, he pursued advanced training in prosthetic dentistry, implant surgery, and periodontology.
An Active Member of the EAED, he was awarded the Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry at gIDE in both 2011 and 2012. Currently, he serves as a Faculty Member at gIDE, contributing to the Implant Master Program in Europe, China, and Vietnam.
He has authored numerous scientific articles published in leading international journals and is a recognized lecturer at national and international conferences, covering topics related to digital dentistry, implantology, and prosthodontics.
His clinical practice focuses on aesthetic and prosthetic rehabilitation on both implants and natural dentition, providing high-quality patient care at his private clinics in Modena, Italy.
To further enhance his expertise in the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare, he completed the AI in Health Care: From Strategies to Implementation program at Harvard Medical School Executive Education in January 2025.

Dr. José Marcio B. L. do Amaral (CRO/SP 35078) is a Master in Implantology from USC Bauru and a Specialist in Operative Dentistry from UNIMES Santos. He serves as Coordinator of Postgraduate Implantology Courses at UNIMES Santos and is Professor at the Central University of Quito. A Speaker for Sirona and Member of SBOE (Sociedade Brasileira de Odontologia e Estética), he focuses on implantology, restorative dentistry, and dental aesthetics, combining clinical practice with academic teaching and research.

This technique enables participants to identify the future free gingival margin and assess whether the site requires tissue regeneration or is in an optimal condition. We will then dive into prosthetic profile evaluation as a fundamental step in surgical planning, followed by an in-depth analysis of various implant site scenarios: immediate post-extraction implants, implants in healed tissues, and advanced soft and hard tissue management.
Key surgical techniques will be covered, including:
- Connective tissue graft
- Free gingival graft
- Horizontal and vertical bone augmentation

We will also explore the biological considerations of the implant-to-restoration interface, ensuring long-term success. During the second session of the course, participants will be tasked with applying the knowledge gained in the first phase. You will plan and execute clinical cases, starting from patient evaluation and surgical planning to the actual surgery, concluding with the delivery of provisional restorations where applicable.
